Sermon Description

Like other proverbs, this proverb calls us to seek wisdom. Proverbs 2 also calls us to seek out wisdom like silver. As a hidden treasure. There’s value in wisdom. There’s value because it leads us to the fear of the Lord and to His protection. There’s value in wisdom because it leads us to walk upright and in righteousness.

Sermon Description

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear." Jesus' words challenges us to examine the role the Word of God plays in our lives. We must examine how we respond to God's message. We must examine our lives so see if we live out the Word of God. We may hear and know the Word of God, but we may not show it. May we pay attention to how we hear the Word of God.

Sermon Description

We come to the end of this narrative in Exodus. It started with God’s people breaking the covenant by making the golden calf and ends with God renewing this covenant as a response to a plea from Moses. Moses’ shining face is sign of God renewing the covenant. While this is a great and awesome thing, we must see that his shining face is only a shadow of a greater covenant to come.
