The Apostle is teaching that the blood of Christ has created a unity and forged an identity between Christians that runs thicker than blood. Through the Son and in the Spirit, we're brought near to the Father as one new humanity Paul is not suggesting that Christian conversion erases our ethnic and cultural distinctions, but it certainly does re-prioritize them or even dethrone them, if necessary.
