Sermon Description

No two consciences are alike and no one’s conscience is perfectly aligned with God. Inevitably our consciences will clash. One person’s conscience is free to partake in an activity while another’s conscience is restricted. Sermon Description

The conscience is a tender thing. You have to guard it, care for it, and listen to it. With proper handling, your conscience will grow strong and healthy. But if you sear your conscience - by continued neglect and abuse - then it will harden and desensitize. It will no longer function properly and warn you of the dangers of sin and judgement.

Those are all helpful metaphors. Here’s the way the Bible describes it: The conscience is God’s one remaining witness in the soul of fallen humanity.
